Amy Friend is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) passionate about guiding individuals toward experiencing their true identity and freedom in Christ. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Master of Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington. Amy also has specialized training as a Behavioral Special Education teacher, working extensively with children labeled with emotional disturbances.

With a counseling philosophy rooted deeply in the gospel, Amy believes sin is the core issue behind human brokenness and relational struggles. Her approach centers on helping clients separate their distorted identities shaped by sin from their genuine identities found in Christ. Amy emphasizes unconditional acceptance, fostering an environment where clients can safely explore their inner beliefs, desires, fears, and behaviors.

Amy has served extensively within her community, volunteering with Mission Arlington and ministering to families in various church settings. Additionally, she is certified in Level I Biblical Counseling and is pursuing further advancement in this area, potentially stepping into a supervisory and training role.

Amy's passion lies in connecting deeply with individuals, asking heart-probing questions that inspire personal insight and genuine transformation. Her ultimate goal is to support each person she encounters in experiencing the transformative power of God's grace and truth.
