Eddie brings more than 30 years of counseling and ministry experience to his role at Rooted Counseling, with a deep passion for helping individuals, couples, and families walk in wholeness, freedom, and the fullness of God’s design. A Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Supervisor, he has devoted much of his career to working with those navigating same-sex attraction, sexual addiction recovery, trauma, and grief, as well as anxiety, depression, and complex relational issues. Over the years, Eddie has served in both clinical and ministry contexts, including directing Living Hope Ministries, leading his own private counseling practice, serving as an Associate Minister to Young Families, and coordinating disaster relief efforts.

Throughout his career, Eddie has walked alongside hundreds of clients, both men and women, through some of life’s most difficult struggles, always pointing them toward the hope and restoration found in Christ. For more than a decade, he led multiple weekly men’s groups focused on same-sex attraction and sexual addiction, while also facilitating women’s support groups for several years. He is known for his compassionate yet direct approach, bringing both clinical expertise and biblical truth to every counseling relationship.

In addition to his clinical work, Eddie is a Certified Critical Incident Stress Management Counselor, experienced crisis responder, and accomplished public speaker and teacher on a wide range of topics related to mental, emotional, and spiritual health. He earned his Master of Science in Family Therapy from Texas Woman’s University and his Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts from Lubbock Christian University. Above all, Eddie’s desire is to see people fully restored: spiritually, emotionally, and relationally; and to strengthen the family unit as the foundation for healthy communities.
