ABOUT RACHEL

Rachel is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate (LMHCA) and Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPCA), nationally certified through the NBCC. She earned her master’s degree in counseling from Western Seminary in Portland, Oregon, where she began shaping her passion for trauma-informed, Christ-centered care.

Her professional training includes TF-CBT, Crisis Intervention, and certification as a Clinical Trauma Professional (Fisher). She has completed additional coursework in EMDR, brainspotting with Dr. Grand, The Body Keeps the Score with Dr. Bessel van der Kolk, and telehealth for couples. She is also trained through Star Behavioral Health to work with military clients.

Rachel has experience as a Certified Behavioral Technician and served for two years as a paraeducator in public schools. She is currently a certified minister with the Assemblies of God and is actively working toward ordination.

Her counseling approach is eclectic, with a strong foundation in psychodynamic and object relations theory. She integrates strengths-based practices, narrative therapy, and neurological insights to meet each client’s unique needs. At the heart of her work is a firm belief in people’s God-given capacity to heal; especially when that healing journey is done in collaboration with Him.

Fun Fact: Rachel is a fraternal twin! While she and her twin share similar mannerisms, their personalities and interests couldn’t be more different.

"Consider it pure joy, my brothers, when you face trials of many kinds because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance and perseverance must finish its work that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything."
James 1:2-4
